The Dark Side Midi Skirt on Star Wars Book Pages
This one-of-a-kind Star Wars Skirt features my original artwork. This is a brand new skirt design with a longer knee length.
This fabric is made from my painting of AT-ATs, The Death Star and The Millennium Falcon. I started this painting by adhering old damaged book pages from The Adventures of Luke Skywalker to a canvas using a gel medium. I apply the pages one at a time and smooth them down like wallpaper. Once the pages are placed I use them as my canvas and painted the iconic battle on top.
The painting is then scanned and we use the digital file to custom print the fabric using Sublimation printing meaning the image will never fade over time. Each skirt is printed, hand-pressed and individually sewn just for you!
The clothing has been an interesting and fun challenge as an artist. I no longer think of the canvas as the final piece of art. I now need to keep in mind the placement of each design and how the fabric will move and lay when it's sewn.
The skirts are made with a poly-spandex that provides a nice stretch and comfortable feel. It is also breathable, soft and moisture wicking. Perfect for any activity. They are designed with a fitted top and a very flattering pleated waist line.
The skirt come in Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, 1X, 2X, and 3X. When trying to determine sizing please refer to the size chart in the images above. The chart has the inches measurement which is the best way to determine what size will fit best. Please note each skirt is hand-sewn and will have a little variance with the measurements.
Wash in cold water with like colors and hang to dry. Do not iron.
We ship each skirt expedited which includes tracking, insurance and typically arrives 4-7 business days depending on your location. Each skirt is packaged individually in a protective plastic bag before being shipped in a poly-mailer to you.
ABOUT MY WORK:
My work is created due to an uncontrollable passion for the pop culture industry and exploring our relationship with characters and worlds that are created. Growing up my parents owned a movie rental store in Morinville, AB and I was raised on films.
As a local Edmonton artist it is an amazing thing to have the opportunity to share my work with you. Your purchase today is the reason that I can be a full time artist. Thank you for choosing to use Etsy and making the conscience choice to buy handmade directly from the artist!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or comments.
